As described, with great guide, tips offered - The tour is as described in the company website and the sites are all worth visiting. It is well-organised and encompassing with 6 stops (road shops for water/snack, Gobustan Park,... read more Mud Volcanoes, Lunch, Yanar Dag, Ateshgah Temple) so I would not recommend for kids under 10 who get tired easily or carsick, unless you have the minivan to yourselves and can adjust accordingly. In warm months absolutely bring hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and in cold months jacket, neck scarf, cap. Wear closed sport shoes during all months. The Minivan was comfortable, clean, air conditioned, and there was no annoying music. Avoid larger backpacks so you all have more legroom. Unless you drink a lot of water, a 500 ml water bottle per person will suffice because you can buy water in most stops. You will find restrooms and water at Gobustan National Park, at Yanar Dag and at the Ateshgah Temple but not the Mud Volcanoes (under construction). Also at the lunch stop. The restaurant we stopped for lunch was not the best but you get a sense of what locals will eat on a roadstop; if you are a demanding eater or vegetarian who would like more than rice and veggies, bring your own lunchbox/sandwich. Our guide Zaur spoke English very well, provided detailed information on the sites and answered several questions regarding the sites, the places we drove by, as well as Azerbaijan culture and history. He was polite, pleasant and accommodating for all. Our driver drove steadily and safely for the entire day. Overall, it is the must tour if you want to see the basics in a day.
